Summary: This article analyzes why the WD My Passport for Mac hard drive is not mounting on Mac and how to fix this issue. If you worry about losing data from this hard drive, you can recover data with iBoysoft Mac Data Recovery at first. Hard drive is not showing up on my computer I'm using Mac OSx Yosemite Version 10.10.2 and the last time i conntected my WD External Hard Drive was just 5 days ago and I disconnected correctly etc. So it wasn't till today that I reconnected it to my laptop and it doesn't show on my desktop.
Western Digital today introduced new My Passport and My Passport for Mac hard drives, which are equipped with up to 5TB of storage.
The drives are the slimmest 5TB options in the WD brand portfolio, measuring in at 0.75 inches thick, and Western Digital says they're about palm sized. Western Digital refreshes its My Passport lineup each year, and this year's models have a new look in Black, Blue, and Red color options. My Passport hard drives are formatted for Windows 10 and feature a USB 3.0 connector. The My Passport for Mac option, which is formatted for macOS Mojave and features a USB-C connector, comes in a Midnight Blue color option. Mac users who have a USB-C machine and are looking at WD hard drives will want the Mac version so it will work out of the box without an adapter. The new drives are available starting now from the Western Digital Store and Best Buy in the United States. Prices start at $79.99 for 1TB of storage and go up from there. I have a WD 2TB My Passport external drive. I used it on my Macbook a month ago and it worked fine. I tried to use it again today but it does not show in my Devices on Finder anymore.
What I observed:
The light is on and it is blinking. It is vibrating very lightly, like it always does. There is no unusual noise.
What I have done so far: Silverlight for mac.
I plugged it on another Macbook, but it did not show there either.
I tried using a different usb cable and it still did not show in my Finder.
What could possibly be the problem? How do I know if my files are still there? How can I troubleshoot? Where can I have it repaired?
Is this a good question? https://brownbeach330.weebly.com/mac-for-business.html.

My Passport Not Showing Up Windows 10
External Disk box is already checked, unfortunately. I failed to mention in my report that I tried plugging another external drive and that showed up in Finder.
